Ariel Palitz is a passionate social justice and community advocate involved with various organizations and initiatives that help support individuals, industry and governments achieve fairness, justice, equity, accessibility, accountability, and meaningful change. Ariel’s time at the Mayor’s Office of Nightlife was dedicated to de-stigmatizing the perceptions around the nightlife industry and elevating the marginalized creative communities and cultures that create it by leading multi-agency efforts to develop non-enforcement solutions and enforcement reform while creating proactive programs and authentic support.
With her advocacy work, Ariel Palitz is not only dedicated to the success and vibrancy of the nightlife industry but also to creating a more just and equitable society. Her multifaceted approach to advocacy, encompassing industry engagement, community empowerment, and criminal justice reform, reflects her commitment to making a positive impact on the nightlife industry and the communities it serves, but wherever there is injustice and she can make a difference.
LAST PRISONERS PROJECT
Ariel's commitment to social justice also extends to her involvement with the Last Prisoners Project ,a nonprofit organization focused on criminal justice reform and ending the prohibition of cannabis. And has joined their dedicated team as an ambassador to work on their tireless effort to achieve the goal of freeing 10s of thousands of individuals still unjustly imprisoned for cannabis as much of the country begins to enjoy the benefits and freedoms of a new legal cannabis market.
LOWER EAST SIDE GIRLS CLUB
Ariel is an ambassador of the Lower East Side Girls Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing leadership opportunities and mentorship for young girls in the community. Through her involvement, Ariel actively supports initiatives that promote equality and empowerment, recognizing the important role that nightlife and community engagement play in fostering positive change.
